The new Dyson robot vacuum cleaner

Watch James Dyson launch Dyson 360 Eye™ robot live in Tokyo

Unique 360° vision system

The future of robot navigation technology

Just like you, Dyson 360 Eye™ robot constantly observes and interprets its surroundings. But unlike you, it sees all around the room at once.

This unique 360° vision system uses complex mathematics, probability theory, geometry and trigonometry to map and navigate a room. So it knows where it is, where it’s been and where it’s yet to clean.

Panoramic
lens

The panoramic lens can see a full 360° view of the room. It allows Dyson 360 Eye™ robot to identify key features, from which it continuously triangulates its position in the room. This enables accurate navigation and thorough cleaning coverage.

Live vision camera

The intelligent camera takes 30 images a second at an angle of 45°. This captures the parts of the room with the most features – walls, pictures, corners – by which to navigate. The camera sees a bandwidth of light that’s beyond that of the human eye.

SLAM technology

As soon as images are captured, simultaneous localisation and mapping software (SLAM) creates a full 360° panoramic view of the room. This enables Dyson 360 Eye™ robot to know its precise orientation in the room to clean thoroughly and efficiently.

Radial Root Cyclone™ technology

Our most compact cyclone technology yet

Dyson cyclones capture dirt and microscopic dust. For Dyson 360 Eye™ robot, Dyson engineers designed our smallest Radial Root Cyclone™ technology yet. It generates high centrifugal forces to capture particles as small as pollen and mould.

Concentrated cyclone technology

Each of the 8 cyclones has been engineered to increase airflow and generate centrifugal forces of up to 50,000G. This is high enough to separate microscopic particles as small as 0.5 microns and capture them in the bin.

Clear bin

Made from tough polycarbonate – the same material used for riot shields.

Cyclone gaskets

The airtight seals within the cyclone assembly are made from materials designed to maintain high pressure differentials – enabling more efficient filtration and cleaner air emissions.

Dyson digital motor V2

Powerful suction

To create powerful suction you need a powerful motor. But powerful motors are big and heavy so Dyson engineers designed the Dyson Digital Motor V2.

It’s light and small, yet extremely powerful – using digital pulse technology to enable it to spin at up to 78,000 rpm. It generates the highest suction of any robot vacuum.*

*All performance claims are based on machines available in the Japanese market in July 2014. Claims are only applicable where the product is available to buy from Dyson or our authorised retailers.

Power-efficient

This 100W motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery. Despite its low power consumption, it provides powerful suction that - other robot vacuums do not achieve.*

Neodymium magnet

Intelligent electronics and digital pulses spinning the neodymium magnet at up to 78,000 rpm control the switching magnetic field.

Impeller

The impeller moves 8 litres of air a second generating powerful suction.

Tank tracks

The only robot vacuum with continuous tank tracks.

Others use wheels with poor traction – they can get stuck or shift off course. Dyson 360 Eye™ robot is the only robot vacuum with continuous tank tracks, engineered for accurate manoeuvring over all floors.

Increased traction

The tank tracks are made with corrugated rubber to create strong traction on all floors and help overcome obstacles – ensuring precise steering.

Engineered for all floor types

Continuous tank tracks can move from soft carpet to hard floors without losing speed or direction. The soleplate was also designed for stiffness over uneven surfaces, helping to maintain direction.

Rigorous durability testing

To ensure the durability of our traction and suspension systems, Dyson 360 Eye™ robots have to climb over 224,000 ridges and cover over almost 1,000 km in testing.

The only full-width brush bar with carbon fibre filaments

Latest cleaner head technology just like our full-size machines

Unlike most robot vacuums, Dyson 360 Eye™ robot provides suction across the full width of the machine. And instead of flimsy bristles and side sweepers, it has Dyson’s most advanced cleaner head technology: two types of bristles for hard floors and carpet.

Maximum surface coverage

The motorised brush bar and suction channel span the full-width of the machine to cover more floor in a single pass.

Advanced cleaner head technology

Stiff nylon bristles drive deep into carpet pile to agitate and remove stubborn dirt, while soft anti-static carbon fibre filaments remove fine dust from hard floors – just like our full-size machines.

Durable bristles

Bristle-wear is tested over 500 hours with the brush bar spinning at 1450rpm – so each bristle hits the floor 4.35 million times.

Dyson Link app

Extend the functionality of your Dyson 360 Eye™ robot vacuum

Available for free on IOS and Android platforms, the Dyson Link app allows you to control and schedule how and when your Dyson 360 Eye™ robot vacuum cleans. It enables you to view maps of cleaning progress, even when you're not at home. It activates your 2 year guarantee, automatically downloads software updates and, should you ever need them, provides access to troubleshooting guides.

The Dyson Link app may not be available in all markets.
